Police ask community for help

Moorcroft Police Chief Bill Bryant has requested assistance from neighbors regarding a string of burglaries of unlocked vehicles along North Big Horn and South Yellowstone Avenues throughout the morning on September 21.

Two firearms were discovered and stolen in these burglaries. A culprit was seen in a victim’s automobile and has been described as a white male, 5’11-6’2, thin to medium build, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt.

Bryant asks that, if you have cameras (including doorbell cameras) and they observed motion during the hours of 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. or you were in these areas during this timeframe and witnessed the subject or know who the subject is, to please call the police department at 307-756-3301 during business hours or 307-283-1225 after hours and ask to speak with an officer.

The chief reminds residents to remove valuables including firearms from your vehicles and lock them and your home.
