On November 27, police were called to a report of a domestic dispute at the Moorcroft Apartments & Storage. Officer spoke with the couple involved in the altercation and with no proof of any physical altercation, officer advised the male party that he would give him a courtesy ride to Gillette, he agreed. Officer transported to Gillette without incident. Nothing further.

On November 27, police were contacted regarding a juvenile runaway. Officer located the juvenile walking on I-90 near mile marker 153 toward Gillette. Officer spoke with the juvenile and gave him a courtesy ride back to his residence. Upon arrival, officer spoke with the juvenile’s guardians, and it was decided that the juvenile be transported to the YES House in Gillette. Officer transported to Gillette YES House without incident. Nothing further.

On November 28, police received a welfare check request for a resident who had not been seen in several days. Officer went to the residence in question and contacted the resident. Resident advised they were ok, but advised officer that they were unable to leave their home due to medical issues. Officer contacted the local food pantry and asked if someone would be able to box up some food for him to deliver to the resident. A short time later, officer picked up a box of food and delivered it to the resident. Nothing further.

On November 29, police arrested a motorist for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Suspect was transported to Crook County Detention Center without incident.

On December 1, police were called to a residence for a burglar alarm going off. Officer arrived at the home and found it to be completely secure. Officer requested dispatch advise the alarm company that there was no criminal activity and officer attempted to contact the owner to advise all was well. Nothing further.

On December 4, police received a report of child neglect and a welfare check request. Officer contacted the complainant and gathered information regarding the child being neglected. Officer and DFS contacted the parents of the child and toured the conditions of the home. Based on the conditions of the home, the children were placed into protective custody and released to DFS for placement with a family member.

On December 7, police were contacted regarding a possible sexual harassment incident that took place at Moorcroft Secondary. Investigation is continuing.

On December 8, police were contacted regarding a fraud case. Victim needed to file a police report for the bank to attempt to recoup money that was lost. Officer took report and gave case number to victim. Nothing further.

On December 12, police received a report of possible neglect of an elderly female. Officer spoke with the complainant and the victim regarding their living situation while EMS was enroute to transport to the hospital. EMS arrived and transported to hospital. Officer will follow up.

On December 14, police went to a residence to speak with the owner regarding a complaint of animal cruelty. Officer contacted the owner and advised them of the complaint. Owner advised that they no longer owned an animal, and Officer did not see one in the home. Nothing further.

On December 15, police served a no trespass notice for a juvenile to their parent/guardian for a business in town without incident.

On December 17, police received a request for a welfare check on a residence in town due to their dogs barking all day long and this activity being very unusual. Officer arrived at the residence and knocked several times with no answer. Officer concluded that no one was home due to multiple indicators. Nothing further.

On December 17, police were contacted regarding possible suspicious activity. Officer spoke with the complainant who stated they were working out at the MTC gym when a man began banging on the door to be let in. Complainant stated they opened the door and spoke with the man who was acting strangely and making statements alluding to owning flammable substances and building a transmitter. Officer knew who the complainant was speaking about due to previous contacts and went to the subject’s home to speak with them about this incident. Officer contacted the subject and their mother who allowed the officer to walk through the home to ensure there was nothing of concern in the home. Officer cleared the home and then spoke with the subject regarding their comments. Nothing further.
