Lady Wolves turn their weekend around

On Friday, the Lady Wolves faced Newcastle, followed by Glenrock on Saturday. Coach Matthew Albertson feels that Saturday's performance was a turnaround from the day before, when the girls struggled against their opponents.

"Things started out well for the Lady Wolves defensively," he says of the game against the Herders.

"We had a couple of stops, but the shots were not seeming to fall, despite only being down eight points at half. In the third quarter, we hit a wall and it was like being in quicksand. No matter what we tried, Newcastle was successful."

In Glenrock, things turned around for the Wolves against Glenrock's Lady Herders.

"We played our most defensive game all season," he says.

"The only blip was about a 2:30 minute stretch in the third quarter where we did not score. Despite this, we had a shot at the end, but came up a little short. We are only shooting 40% from the Free Throw line, so that will also be a point of emphasis."

Final scores for the games were: Moorcroft - 22, Newcastle - 49 and; Moorcroft - 39, Glenrock - 79.
