What's happening at the Moorcroft Branch Library

Did you know we offer self-measured blood pressure monitoring kits for checkout? This is a collaborative project between the Wyoming Center on Aging at the University of Wyoming, the Wyoming Department of Health Chronic Disease Prevention Program and public libraries across the state.  

The Moorcroft Branch Library is committed to providing resources for a strong, healthy community.  We have received many referrals from our local clinic as it is very beneficial for individuals to be able to track their numbers and share that information with their healthcare providers. 

Each kit includes an automated blood pressure kit that can be used with batteries or plugged in. The included arm cuff can be adjusted to your needs. 

Each kit includes a booklet full of instructions, information on high blood pressure and heart health, a seven-day recording log and community resources.  

Kits are available for three-week checkouts and are sanitized between uses. To ensure all patrons are able to utilize this wonderful resource, we keep a kit for library use only that is available for use any time the library is open.  All kits are sanitized between uses. 

To help further the development and future programming around cardiovascular health, patrons who check out a kit and complete the included survey before June 8 will be eligible to win a $100 Amazon Gift Card.

A random winner will be drawn each week from the surveys completed. The library where the kit was checked out from will also receive a $100 Amazon Gift Card.
