Branch manager Serena Buckner joins librarians Shannon Reynolds and Lacey Rasco with ideas and a goal to make Moorcroft Branch Library a popular destination for all ages. Funeral service for Alta Kottraba was held Friday, March 31, 2023 at Walker Funeral Home with Pastor Donavon Voigt officiating. Alta Mae "Babe" Kottraba was born on January 24, 1931 in a house that belonged to her grandmother on the Crook County and Campbell County borderline. She was born to Earl and Katherine (Thompson) Mellott and joined a sister, Phyllis and a brother, Melvin. She was the baby for nine years, hence the name Babe. Trial for Cody couple delayed to August for possible plea agreement CODY (WNE) – The jury trials for the Cody couple charged with abusing their 15-year-old child by putting her in cruel confinement have been delayed until Aug. 7 due to possible plea agreements. The annual Easter egg hunt in Pine Haven drew more than 40 kids this year to seek out an estimated 1500 eggs hidden inside and out. The eggs were placed with varying degrees of difficulty for the four age categories. Three of the kids won baskets and the rest of the 14 prize winners won chocolate bunnies and stuffed animals. On March 20, police were contacted by a parent who wanted to report a theft that was possibly committed by their child.
