Healing Hearts comes to town

The Moorcroft Area chamber of Commerce and Healing Hearts Home Health came together at the home health office’s open house last Wednesday morning to cut the ceremonial ribbon welcoming them to the community and chamber.

Healing Hearts currently employs 25 people and is looking for more RNs. In addition to registered nurses, this number includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, home health aides and medical social workers.

Lacy Davis, registered nurse, administrator and owner chooses and educates her team to “serve patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric.”

The company provides both skilled and non-skilled home health care services including helping keep patients safe, as well as advocating and providing education to patients on how to best care for themselves at home. “The goal of Healing Hearts Home Health is to assist patients in their homes by enabling them to live a safe, healthy and happy lifestyle encouraging the highest level of independence,” she says.

Healing Hearts Home Health is unique among its kind in northeast Wyoming as the company is the only privately owned accredited home health in Crook, Campbell and Weston counties (accredited through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care).

Davis started her business in March of 2018, but this is not her first experience with this demanding calling.

“I started in home health when I was 15 years old. I couldn’t even drive – my boss drove me around,” she says.

“I was a CNA while going to nursing school and worked in home health as a staff nurse, director of nursing and administrator. I literally ‘grew up’ in home health.”

Davis says that her own home health company has “always been a dream of mine”. She decided to go into business because she saw the need and the benefits for home health.

“I am able to give the care that I want all of my patients to experience, which is simply being treated like family. Our motto is to care for all patients as we would want our own family cared for,” she says.

Davis encourages anyone wanting more information to call or drop by, as, “We are dedicated to helping find help for anyone in need.” She also expresses her desire to “continue to give back to the communities that we serve by proving educational seminars and free toenail clinics and by participating in community events.”

Davis notes that her company is not associated with Sharon’s Home Health.
