Moorcroft Police Report

April 6 - 12

On April 6, police were notified of a lock box broken off a door to a residence. There was nothing stolen as the house is empty. Nothing further.

On April 7, police assisted Moorcroft Ambulance Service with a medical call.

On April 7, police were notified of a stolen vehicle out of Campbell County. Vehicle was at rest area and officer went out to assist Wyoming Highway Patrol in apprehending the suspect(s). Suspects were taken to Crook County Detention Center.

On April 8, police were called in reference to a traffic complaint. Officer spoke with the complainant about the problem and was able to locate and speak with the driver of the vehicle. Officer explained the complaint to the driver, and they advised that they would make sure they were more careful.

On April 8, police were contacted in reference to a possible REDDI report. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

On April 8, police were contacted a second time in reference to a possible REDDI report. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

On April 9, police were called in reference to a dog attacking another dog. Officer contacted the complainant and spoke with them about what had occurred.

On April 10, police were contacted by the Fire Warden in reference to a dog bite victim at the scene of a gas line break. Officer arrived and spoke with the animal owner and the victim. Dog has current rabies vaccination and current town license.

On April 10, police assisted with traffic control while the Moorcroft Fire Department and Black Hills Energy dealt with a gas line that had been cut.

On April 12, police were contacted in reference to a possible REDDI report. Officer made contact with the driver of the truck and it was determined they were not intoxicated.
