Pick your hero for Pine Haven Days

Pine Haven Days will start this year a few minutes after 1 p.m. on September 6 with the parade, the theme of which honors heroes this year. The parade can be truly appreciated along Pine Haven Road so set up a chair or drop your tailgate and enjoy the show!

“Who is your hero?” was created by the town’s recreation board. Board president Marla McKibben said of the choice, “People have different heroes – policemen, nurses, firemen”

The parade organizers want to present this tribute to all of the heroes who provide help with courage when and wherever they are called upon.

McKibben offered current Mayor John Cook and former Mayor Bill Cunningham the position of co-marshal for this year’s event in recognition of their diligent efforts on behalf of Pine Haven during these troubled times.

At 3 p.m., the sixth annual Fish Fry and Raffle, sponsored by North East Wyoming Walleye Association (NEWWA) will serve up plates of tasty fish and sides until the food is gone.

Wait, don’t go yet, the night is just beginning for those who like to get their groove on with a street dance to the live music by the Lazy L Band from 7 p.m. until midnight.
