Black Hills Bentonite of Casper, Wyoming has filed a regular mining permit application with the Land Quality Division of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality for the mining of Bentonite in Crook County, Wyoming. The Keyhole State Project is approximately two (2) miles to the Southeast of the town of Pine Haven, Wyoming, and approximately fifteen (15) miles to the Northwest of the town of Upton, Wyoming. The application may be viewed at the Cheyenne or the Sheridan Office of the Land Quality Division. The application will be readvertised for public comment prior to approval by the Department of Environmental Quality.
