Wolves Take All Conference Duals

The Wolves wrestling team wrestled the Powder River Conference Duals in Hulett on Thursday, February 10. They wrestled five duals against, Sundance, Glenrock, Hulett, Wright and Tongue River.

As a team they were the All-Conference Champions, winning all five duals, and they had seven individual All-Conference Champions. Dual scores were:

Moorcroft vs. Sundance- 78-0

Only three matches were wrestled for this dual. 106 Dayne Humes won with a pin, 113 Braydnn Terry won with a pin and 120 Wyatt Cook won with a pin. The rest of the weights were open for Sundance, giving Moorcroft the win at each open weight.

Moorcroft vs. Glenrock- 66-6

132 Randy Peters, 138 Richie Allison, 145 Jacob Anderson and 152 Wyatt Allred all won with pins. 160 James Long and 170 Dima Haskell were open, 182 was open for both teams and 195 Gavin Reynolds was open. 220 Oliver Gorsuch won with a pin and 285 was open for both teams. 106 Dayne Humes was open, 113 Cade Williams lost by pin, 120 Shane Hannah and 126 Tucker Cook both won by pins.

JV Matches- 120 Craig Robinson won with a pin, 126 Wyatt Pennington won with a pin, 132 Marcus James won an exciting match in overtime by decision 9-7, 138 Kaden Hissong won by pin and Sterling Norris won by pin.

Moorcroft vs. Hulett- 70-6

138 Dakota Tobin won by decision 17-14, 145 Jacob Anderson and 152 Wyatt Allred won by pin. 160 James Long, 170 Dima Haskell, 182 Sterling Norris and 195 Gavin Reynolds were all open. 220 Oliver Gorsuch won by pin and 285 was open for Moorcroft. 106 Dayne Humes and 113 Braydnn Terry were both open, 120 Wyatt Cook won by decision 8-4, 126 Trenten Gray won by decision 12-4 and 132 Trenton Sheehan won with a pin.

Moorcroft vs. Wright- 44-27

145 Jacob Anderson and 152 Wyatt Allred both won with a pin, 160 James Long lost by decision 1-2, 170 Dima Haskell lost by fall, 182 Sterling Norris was open and 195 was open for both teams. 220 Oliver Gorsuch lost by fall and Moorcroft was open at 285. 106 Dayne Humes was open, 113 Braydnn Terry won by pin, 120 Wyatt Cook won by tech fall 16-0, 126 Trenten Gray was open, 132 Trenton Sheehan lost by fall and 138 Dakota Tobin won by decision 8-5.

Moorcroft vs. Tongue River- 51-24

152 Wyatt Allred won in overtime by decision 11-9, 160 James Long and 170 Dima Haskell both lost by fall, 182 was open for Moorcroft, 195 Gavin Reynolds and 220 Oliver Gorsuch were both open and 285 was open for both teams. 106 Dayne Humes and 113 Braydnn Terry were both open, 126 Wyatt Cook won with a pin, 126 Trenten Gray lost by fall, 132 Randy Peters won by pin, 138 Dakota Tobin was open and 145 Jacob Anderson won by pin.

The seven individual champions were 106 Dayne Humes, 113 Braydnn Terry, 120 Wyatt Cook, 138 Dakota Tobin, 145 Jacob Anderson, 152 Wyatt Allred and 182 Gavin Reynolds.

Up next for the Wolves is the 2A Northeast Regional Tournament in Sundance on Friday, February 18, starting at 9:30 a.m., where they will compete against ten other schools for the chance to advance on to the state tournament.
