Wolves take on Dan Hansen Invitational

The Moorcroft Wolves Track and Field team went to Sheridan for the Dan Hansen Invitational on Saturday, April 20. It was a great day to be a Wolf, the weather was perfect for a day around the oval.

Many Wolves PRd in their specific events and we had our first State Meet Pre Qualifier of the season.

In the ladies' events, London McCrea got nineth place in the 100 Meter Dash with the time of 14.07; Melibe Downey placed 13th with the time of 16.20; and Kylee Keller-Decoteau placed 15th with the time of 17.36. 

Talia Vargas took ninth place in the 200 Meter Dash with the time of 28.42 and ninth place in the 400 Meter Dash with the time of 1:05.94. London McCrea qualified for the State Meet with her second place finish in the 300 Hurdles with the time of 47.92; and Talia took seventh place with the time of 52.40. 

The 4x100 team of Talia, Melibe, Kylee and London earned fourth place with the time of 59.64. Kylee came in as an alternate runner in a clutch due to a sick teammate.

Lani Gill earned 12th place in the Long Jump with a jump of 14' 08.25".  In the Shot Put, Kylee hucked the rock 20'00" and Melibe put the shot 17'08.5".

In the men's events, Dima Haskell ran the 100 Meter Dash in 12.44; Trenten Gray, in 12.96; Lathan Dewey, in 13.25; and Justus Mills ran his race in 16.39.

In the 200 Meter Dash, Braydnn Terry sprinted for a 25.46 finish; Trenten finished in 26.72; William Ripley finished in 26.80; and Justus finished in 33.40. 

In the 400 Meter Dash, Braydnn earned a tenth place finish with a time of 57.80; Hayden Amende took 11th place with a 1:00.00; and Jacob Anderson took 12th place with a 1:02.99 finish. Jacob ran his 800 Meter Run in 2:35.92, giving him a 14th place.

The Sprint Medley team of Lathan, William, Dima and Braydnn earned a second place finish with a time of 4:11.90. 

In the Long Jump, Dima flew through the air for 19' 10"; and Hayden sailed for 19' 5", bettering his PR by 21 inches. In the Triple Jump, Hayden leapt through the air 35' 00.50". 

The Wolves will go to Buffalo on Friday, April 26, for the Buffalo Twilight.
