    County Treasurer Mary Kuhl will no longer have access to the credit cards used within the Crook County Treasurer’s Office. The county commissioners moved on Monday morning to cancel the old cards and have new ones issued, with Acting Treasurer Tammy Jundt listed as the authorized user. This decision was made following the arrest of Kuhl last week on charges related to her conduct while in office.   • Thunderstorms to be announced by severity

    As of this week, the National Weather Service has changed how hazard information is communicated with the public. From now on, thunderstorms will be announced according to three tiers of impact. “Severe thunderstorms can be life-threatening, but not all severe storms are the same,” according to the announcement, which lists conditions ranging from tornadoes and hail to cloud-to-ground lightning and flash floods.     After a month of repairs and improvements, Donna’s Diner has reopened. When a customer inadvertently ran his vehicle through the front wall, destroying the glass door, window and a structural support holding the south end of the roof on the July 4 weekend, owners Candy Elliott and Kellie Donahue immediately got to work getting the place back into working order.     This year’s fair concluded over the weekend with the annual parade through Sundance, following this year’s theme of “unmasking the outlaws, bandits and thieves and stealing the show.” As always, fair attracted visitors and participants from all across the county and beyond.     Moorcroft man Brandon Wells has been given a split sentence on a charge of theft after allegedly taking a vehicle in the early hours of the morning and driving it to Montana.
