Wolf Pups shine as teams

On Friday, December 9, the Lady Wolf Pups battled it out against Newcastle. The seventh grade team started out in an intense game, going point for point.

The Wolf pups took a solid lead and by half-time, they were up by almost ten points. The seventh graders ended up defeating the Doggies 20-15.

The girls played as a team and worked together very well. The girls have a good chance to do well at the upcoming districts.

The eighth grade athletes had a bit of a tough match up against Newcastle, but they fought hard, playing very well as a team. They couldn’t buy a shot and it seemed as though there was a lid on the hoop and the team fell short, losing 19-29.

The girls had good rhythm and were moving the ball well, but just couldn’t get shots to fall. Going into districts, the eighth grade has a very good chance to do well.

On Monday, December 12, the Lady Wolf Pups traveled to Gillette to take on the Sage Valley Eagles.  The seventh grade girls played hard and just had an off night and couldn’t get a shot to fall.  They ended up losing but ultimately played well as a team.

The eighth grade played a great game against Sage Valley and defeated the Eagles by double digits.  They looked really solid and played through a very physical game.

Win or lose, these junior high athletes came together as teams and played well!

On Friday, December 16 the Moorcroft Junior High School Lady Wolf Pups head to districts in Wright.
