  • Pine Haven man charged with aggravated assault

    A Pine Haven man has been charged with aggravated assault and bound over to District Court after allegedly pulling a knife on a person who was attempting to make him leave a local bar. On December 8, a Crook County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to a bar in Pine Haven for a disturbance involving a weapon. The suspect was later identified as Todd Allen Wiseman according to his driver’s license. According to court reports, Wiseman was asked to leave the bar after vomiting on the floor.     James Vernon Royer was born June 11, 1962 to Gary and Ruth Royer in Pierre, South Dakota. He spent most of his young life on a ranch being a typical young boy raising mischief. As he grew, he learned the ranch life and helped his father work cows. Jim learned how to drive tractors and trucks and used that knowledge to wrangle cattle and occasionally bring in small calves in the truck bed.     It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edwin Sisson on December 29, 2023 at Weston Country Hospital in Newcastle, Wyoming. He fought a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 6, 1935 in Stanley, Iowa to Ancil and Ona (Hefner) Sisson, he was the youngest of three siblings.
