    The second application for funding under the CARES Act has been approved by Moorcroft’s council and subsequently submitted to the State Land and Investment Board (SLIB). According to deputy clerk Jody Clark, this new application includes $40,000 for a heart monitor to be installed in the town’s second ambulance, $23,765 for bunker gear for the fire department, $6,478 upgrading phones and $52,600 sprayer system to better disinfect large areas and other needed personal protective equipment (PPE).     With the Pine Haven Community Center closed for the foreseeable future due to the reemergence of Covid in the neighborhood, the bid of $14,927 from Powder River Heating and Air Conditioning was accepted to upgrade lighting and heating at the center to be completed within the next couple of months.     Minta Gray, 85 of Sundance, Wyoming, passed away on November 13, 2020. Minta Eileen (Tate) Gray was born November 24, 1934, to Merrill and Norine Violet (McDougall) Tate in Riverton, Wyoming. Minta was the first daughter in the family, where she joined three brothers, Ronnie, Cecil and Duane, later to be joined by the youngest member, Sharon. The family lived in Chugwater, Wheatland and Riverton, before settling in Newcastle. Here Minta attended school and met the man who become her partner in life for 67 years, Earl Gray.     Yellowstone sees record visits in October CODY (WNE) — Yellowstone National Park posted another record month in October to close out its 2020 summer season, shattering the previous record for that month with more than 110,000 additional people visiting this year.     A Douglas man has been given a suspended sentence for possession with intent to deliver after allegedly informing a police officer who spotted him walking drunkenly through town that he was taking a bag of marijuana from one friend to another.     The name of George Kreber was added to the Crook County War Memorial this fall. George graduated from Sundance High School in 1969 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1970. He was discharged in 1974, last serving on the USS Simon Lake. The USS Simon Lake was a submarine tender, named for a pioneering designer of early submarines. After his discharge, George went to work as a welder at Ellsworth AFB, SD. He retired after 40 years and now lives in Piedmont, SD. The original portion of the Crook...
