    The 2019 Moorcroft Junior High and High School football banquet and awards ceremony was held Tuesday night in the high school gymnasium. A nice meal was provided along with a slide show by Kellie Allison, followed by the recognition of players and a few special awards.     Twelve Moorcroft high school wrestlers traveled to Sheridan this past weekend to wrestle in the WAWA Junior State Greco and Freestyle tournament. This tournament is a qualifier for freestyle and Greco nationals in Fargo, ND, the cultural exchange program that is traveling to Austria and Germany this year and for a chance to win the Triple Crown by placing first in folkstyle at high school state, and winning both Greco and freestyle.     The Wolves wrestling team competed in the Wyoming High School Athletic Association state tournament this past weekend in Casper at the event center. They qualified 16 wrestlers in their fight to continue their six-time straight state championship title since 2013 by making it number seven.     The Wolves wrestled in the 2A East Regional Tournament this past Saturday in Wright. There, they competed against ten other teams from the east region for the championship title and qualified 16 of their 17 wrestlers to compete at the state tournament in Casper this coming weekend.     The Wolves wrestling team traveled to Saratoga this past weekend to wrestle in the Carbon County Invite, where they met up with 17 other schools from across Wyoming in search of what their competition will be in two weeks at the High School state tournament. There, they competed against the four other Powder River Conference teams consisting of Hulett, Sundance, Wright and Tongue River. Moorcroft swept the duals winning all four.     The Wolves wrestling team traveled to Greybull on Friday to wrestle in the Greybull Duals. There they had duals against Greybull, Wind River and Lovell. The team dominated each dual, closing out both Greybull and Wind River.     The Wolves wrestling team traveled to Riverton this past weekend to wrestle in the 20th annual Ron Thon Battle For The Belt Tournament. This is the toughest tournament on their schedule with 44 teams from across the state and 350 wrestlers on the varsity side alone from all classes, 1A/2A, 3A and 4A combined, to find the true champion in every weight class.     By Marci Allison The Moorcroft High School gym was packed this weekend with wrestlers, parents and fans alike for the ninth annual Moorcroft Mixer wrestling tournament held Friday and Saturday. The Wolves hosted a great tournament with 19 teams from Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.
