On August 21, police were requested to do a welfare check as a report came in of a juvenile attempting to commit suicide by drinking bleach and taking pills. Competitors were in Cheyenne last weekend for the 2023 State Horseshoe Tournament. Sanctioned Wyoming Horseshoe Pitching Association members came from all over the state for the competition. Three participants from Moorcroft did very well at the state tournament. Kolter Huven placed first in the Junior division and Kris Huven placed third in the Men's C Division. Crook County School District #1 recently held their Wyoming State-required six hours of training in Sundance. All bus drivers and substitute drivers attended. Trainings this year included Suicide Intervention and Behavior Management, provided by the Campbell County Transportation Department. Over the weekend, the Moorcroft Lady Wolves Varsity and Junior Varsity teams traveled to Douglas for a tournament, while our freshman team went to a tournament in Newcastle.
